At The Sam Loyd Company we receive many emails asking about our website design and why has it been created this way. The answer comes from Sam Loyd's last interview in The Delineator Magazine in April 1911. Walter Prichard Eaton interviewed Sam Loyd at his office in down-town New York otherwise occupied by The Evening Globe. He tells us that Sam Loyd occupied a small room which had two desks, a typewriter and a printing-press in it, and countless shelves loaded with papers, pictures, magazines, stereotype plates and one thousand other things.
The website is a replica of Sam Loyd's office as described by Eaton. On his desk are scatterd all sorts of things such as his cards, books etc and we want everyone who comes here to feel as though they are visiting Sam Loyd while he works on his famous puzzles.
